  • A brilliant idea, a strategy to execute on it, and a whole lot of passion and humanity.

  • Starting a business is some scary sh*t - we get it. And if we’re being honest, you may never feel “ready.” For what it’s worth, a lot of our founders came to us early in their journey (like only-having-an-idea-with-zero-capital-raised early). Even if you don’t think you’re quite ready for the real deal, reach out. We want to get to know you and who knows, we may be able to help.

  • Obviously, we have to like the business idea. If it can change the world and positively impact our everyday lives, better than competitors can, there’s a good chance we can get behind it.

    But the be-all and end-all of our decision-making come down to the people. The journey of starting a business isn’t for the faint-hearted. We’re looking for a strong founding team that has the guts to get behind the wheel blindfolded and know that there will be potholes and speed bumps along the way. We look for confident, strategic, and tenacious leaders who believe in their product or service the way Rocky Balboa believed he could go the distance (we’re based in Philly, afterall).

  • We like to move quickly! If we like what we see in your pitch meeting, we’ll huddle up internally, gather our thoughts and questions, and share our follow-up in a second meeting. If the conversations continue to go well for both of us, we’ll typically conduct due diligence before giving you our final answer.

  • Our typical check size falls between $10,000 and $50,000. That said, we’re committed to building your company alongside you, not just writing checks. We are a team of founders, operators, and strategists, and we aren’t afraid to roll up our sleeves when you need us.
